An attic full of good old metal music, now that would be a sight to see.

One thing I've been doing that sometimes helps (I used to be horrible with names, now I'm not to bad) is if the person I just met has the same name as someone I already know, I just mentally 'link' the two people together. For example I just met this new girl Kaitlin, which normally I often would mix up with Cathrin. So what I did was I found some similarities between my new friend Kaitlin, and an old friend of mine Caitlin (hair color, skin tone), so now whenever I see Kaitlin, I think of Caitlin and am able to remember Kaitlin's name with out a problem. Did that make sense? =)

Obviously this method won't work with people who have unique names, but it's helped me out a lot.
