I want to have a very popular blog. It’s a long-time goal of mine and for a while I’ve left it behind, always pushed to the back by more immediate projects. But that’s about to change.
While I do have dozens of popular websites and work entirely online, the goal of having one big, recognizable personal blog has for long passed me by. The Inspiration Palace never got beyond the 150+ subscribers, and when it comes to action it never really took off.
It’s my fault, obviously. I didn’t promote much, I didn’t network with others bloggers and I was not consistent enough. Though the groundwork is here, the Inspiration Palace didn’t yet pass the dip.
And now it’s time. In roughly a month I’ll be moving to Copenhagen, Denmark and I have one goal to achieve until then: get 1000 subscribers to this blog. I’ll use around half of my time just to work on this site.
How I Will Do It
For starters, the base content is already here. Two E-Books, two dozens of high-quality articles, pretty site design, etc. It’s all, then, about marketing. I’ll market like I never did before. I’ll write all the guest posts I’ll have to, network like a beast and go and search for subscribers to forums, other blogs, etc.
It’s a lot of work, and it’s not for the money – I just want to have fun. It would be the most spectacular thing ever to know that 1000 (read it – one thousand!) people really care about what I have to say. Eventually I’ll monetize, but it’s not a near future priority.
I also have one more asset in my favor: I’ve already pre-written twenty high-quality posts to publish from today on until early September. Most content is unique, fun and intriguing. I’ve also mixed, however, a few old posts which I’ll recycle for better writing and necessary updates.
The theme of this site will be longer, more in-depth posts rather than short and superficial ones. Once in a while I might mix one or two, but it’s not really my point. If I had to compare what I want with some other blog, then it would be with Scott Young’s or Tim Ferriss’.
That’s the type of posts I want and I’ll write here. And here’s a short advance on the topics:

- Scholarships & Study Opportunities Hacking.
- Collection of Inspiring Posters.
- 100+ Amazing Facts About the World.
I know that the objective is tricky, that it’s hard and that it will take a lot. I might also probably fail – but the ground work is there. I wrote some great posts, the manifesto is there. It’s all done to get to that magic number.

And the prize! I’ll make a big promise – if we reach the 1000 subscriber mark, I’ll set up, buy the hosting and domain for ONE subscriber to have his or her own blog. I’ll personally coach for a week and help him or her start a business online. That’s has a big value, and hope you are all excited about it!
I’ll run a survey, polls, send a few emails and then finger-choose the winner. I’m sure just one in a thousand IS a bit unfair, so I’ll think about a present for the other four top-5 helpers soon.
