I’m the man of big projects, grand plans and world-conquering schemes. While not all of these are a success (the 1000 Subscriber Challenge, to name one), constantly pursuing dreams and doing stuff gives me plenty of victories to pride myself on.
The last of these is my move to Denmark. It has been a terrific, almost perfect month up here in Copenhagen. I love the place, the people, the setting and there are SO many opportunities and projects that I’m working on that all this has made September the most exciting month for me in a long, long time.
Here I’ll just go around a few of these and update you on the status of my projects.
1- The 1000 Cities Challenge.
It has been a roller-coaster month, but definitely slow when it comes to travel. I was stuck in Copenhagen for the whole month, bar a short trip to a small city for a seminar last weekend.
This will all change, however, with my uber-fast and extraordinary trip of Denmark coming up next weekend. If everything goes alright I’ll be renting a car and with four friends make a roundtrip of the whole thing.
Denmark is small (actually very small for my South American standards) so I’m counting on pinning 15-20 new places this weekend. Won’t get me to 1000 cities but it will make me a short step closer.
2- Business All-Around
Living in Copenhagen (the world’s #3 most expensive city) has made my budget and business plans change a bit. It’s definitely not the same to live in Buenos Aires than here and the bank account does notice.
So, want it or not, there’s lots of work to catch up. I’ll dedicate more and more time for now to my website cloud (I own around 30 of them right now – moving to 50 by years-end) and ramp up my consulting business here.
The Inspiration Palace is not part of my monetization strategy – at least not yet. While other bloggers keep creating and building exclusive content, all what’s here will keep free and accessible to all. I’ll make money out of the site eventually but only when I find a cool and out-of-the-box way of selling value.
3- Mario a Teacher?
Oh, yes! I’ve for long wanted to be one, and now I’m full steam ahead on creating the draft for my very own High-Tech Entrepreneurship class.
I’ll be in Copenhagen Business School (CBS), lecturing and sharing my insights and ideas on online businesses, lifestyle design and location-independence to everyone who is cool enough to think he or she can live dreamed life.
The plan is to have meet ups every second week, make interactive, action-ridden sessions and get some rockstar personalities down to CBS to share with everyone how things can be done.
I’ve always wanted to be a history and archaeology teacher (as my hero Indiana Jones) but I guess this will make me happy enough for now. You can sign up for the newsletter and class info here.
And the Inspiration Palace?
Left to its luck? No – never, while it has been kind-of in limbo for the past month, I’ll never resign on my goal of making this site a big name blog.
I’ll keep writing and, more importantly from now on, networking with other bloggers too. It’s time to spread the word around! I won’t compromise just yet, but I’ll try to get fresh articles every week.
Here’s wishing you all the best and a great October,
Mario
